Nutrients affect genetic expression
Nutrients affect our Epigenome (our genetic expression); here are a few examples:
Methionine– in sesame seeds, Brazil nuts, fish, peppers & spinach is required for SAMe synthesis
Folic Acid– leafy veg, sunflower seeds, liver, bakers yeast, is required for Methionine synthesis
Vitamin B12– Meats, liver, shellfish, milk is required for Methionine synthesis
*Methionine & SAMe are key components of methylation
Sulforaphane– in broccoli, higher amounts in broccoli sprouts, turns on anti-cancer genes
Diallyl sulphide– in Garlic, turns on anti-cancer genes
